Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field and 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineering-related occupation.
Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field, and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineering-related occupation.
Position requires 5 years of experience in the following: LLM and Machine learning; Programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go to design and maintain software applications; Algorithm design and selection to improve system scale and efficiency or Data structure selection for optimizing system reliability and speed; System debugging and root cause analysis for code and firmware issues; and, Systems architecture design for optimal testability and resource configuration.

Responsibilities

Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers while facilitating alignment on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
Develop and evolve mid-term technical visions and roadmaps to meet future requirements and infrastructure needs.
Design, develop, and deploy large-scale software solutions to solve ambiguous problems and enhance system capabilities.
Guide system architecture by clarifying complex problems, assessing trade-offs, and vetting designs for cohesion and scalability.
Drive engineering excellence through comprehensive testing, rigorous code reviews, and the implementation of best practices. Manage project lifecycles from planning to production monitoring including stakeholder engagement and issue resolution.
