Tabs is the leading AI-native revenue platform for modern finance and accounting teams. Tabs is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team and work closely with our CTO to help develop and scale our technology. As a member of our early-stage startup, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the direction of the company and make a meaningful impact on our success.
Requirements
- 10+ years of building software professionally and shipped high-impact products.
- Experience leading big, complex system design, ideally in a fast-moving and growing environment.
- Hands-on with TypeScript, Python, or similar languages and keep up with modern frameworks.
- Strong grip on the fundamentals like algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
- Genuinely excited about AI, already using it, testing its limits, and keeping up with the latest advancements.
- Ability to thrive in the early, undefined stage of a problem where you get to shape the answer rather than follow a spec.
- Enjoy mentoring other engineers and being someone others want to learn from.
Responsibilities
- Work across the whole revenue lifecycle including parsing contracts, invoicing, billing, payments, and revenue recognition.
- Own and drive significant projects that make the revenue lifecycle work.
- Work directly with our CTO, engineering, and product to take complex, ambiguous problems, architect scalable secure solutions, and get them pushed to production.
- Put AI to work everywhere it can move the needle, whether it’s product automation, business process improvement, or the team’s day-to-day workflow.
- Level up the engineers around you by setting the technical bar, mentoring those around you, and shaping the kind of culture we want as we get bigger.
