About The Position

This position plays an instrumental role in the design, development, test, and deployment of complex solutions on the Salesforce platform. The role involves driving technical aspects of the Salesforce platform, defining and enforcing internal standards and best practices, and consulting across functional teams to deliver holistic solutions. The engineer will also define and maintain a framework for solution quality and performance, provide technical leadership for the platform's roadmap, and represent Salesforce engineering in cross-functional discussions. Additionally, the role includes actively leading the engineering of complex platform aspects and planned solutions, and supporting the company’s commitment to risk management and data confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or related field.
  • Minimum 8 or more years’ experience in software engineering or similar domain.
  • 5 or more years hands-on experience with end-to-end Salesforce implementation, integration, and enhancement projects.
  • Extensive experience in Salesforce Classic and Lightning, including Aura and Lightning Web Components, Visualforce pages, Apex Code, form layout changes, workflow triggers & alerts, validation rules, custom objects, formulas, automated email responses, etc.
  • Salesforce certifications in multiple related domains such as Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I & II, Admin, Advanced Admin, and Technical Architect.
  • Experience across multiple Clouds with Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds being highly desired.
  • Background and drug screen.
  • Must independently possess the eligibility to work in the United States, for any employer, at the date of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with various CD/CI and test automation tools such as GitLab, Harness and JFrog Artifactory.
  • Experience with various data backup and recovery and sandbox seeding solutions.
  • Experience in other relevant programming languages such as Java, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Experience exposing and consuming Salesforce APIs and other web services (REST, SOAP).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, other).

Responsibilities

  • Drive and act as a subject matter expert for all technical aspects of the Salesforce platform and any related programs, projects, and solutions.
  • Define and drive alignment to internal standards and best practices for the design, development, validation, and deployment of complex solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Consult and coordinate across functional teams to define and deliver holistic solutions that align with Salesforce-specific and enterprise technology strategies and objectives.
  • Define and maintain a framework for ensuring delivered solutions are both fit for purpose (meets functional requirements) and fit for use (meets non-functional requirements including performance, quality, security, etc.).
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to define a forward-looking plan and roadmap for the Salesforce platform that addresses current problems and opportunities while positioning us for the future.
  • Represent Salesforce engineering across other technical and non-technical domains to present sound and thoughtful arguments to persuade others and drive consensus around envisioned solutions.
  • Actively lead in the engineering of more complex aspects of the platform and planned solutions.
  • Support the company’s commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
