About The Position

Deep .NET expertise on software that thousands of businesses depend on every pay cycle. PrismHR is the HR, payroll, and benefits platform used by employer-services organizations across the United States, backed by Vensure Employer Solutions. Parts of that platform are mature ASP.NET Webforms applications that have run payroll reliably for years and reliability at that scale is not an accident, it is engineering. We will be straightforward with you: this is work on an established .NET stack, not a greenfield rewrite. That is exactly why it needs a Staff-level engineer. Deep Webforms, jQuery, and SQL Server expertise is increasingly scarce, and here it is valued rather than treated as a liability. If you have it, there are very few places where it carries this much weight.

Requirements

Substantial hands-on ASP.NET Webforms — page lifecycle, state management, and the failure modes you only learn by living with them
Strong C# across a mature codebase
Solid front-end work in JavaScript and jQuery
Deep SQL and SQL Server: writing, reading, and tuning your own queries and stored procedures
Staff-level scope: owning functional areas, setting standards, leading reviews, mentoring engineers
Ability to debug across application and database tiers and reason from symptom to root cause under pressure

Responsibilities

Own significant functional areas end to end-design, implementation, test coverage, and production accountability.
Diagnose the hard problems, the ones that have defeated other people, across the application and down into the database.
Set engineering standards, lead code reviews, and mentor engineers.
Have real input into how and in what order this platform evolves, including where modernization makes sense and where stability is worth more.
