ABOUT THE TEAM The Pre-Sales module team owns the agent-facing quote and illustration tools that power Bestow's life insurance offerings. We work across the full stack to deliver the end-to-end pre-sales journey from quote generation through illustration management, partnering closely with product and design to ship features that drive agent adoption and conversion. The team operates in a fast-moving, high-stakes domain where quality and velocity both matter. Within Bestow Engineering, our major functional teams are product engineering, infrastructure, IT, data and analytics, mar-tech, and program management. Pre-Sales works closely with upstream engineering teams, experience design, and product management to define and prioritize the product roadmap.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience (full stack)
- Professional experience with Golang (Go) is preferred
- Experience with modern frontend technologies including React and Typescript
- An advocate for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with distributed systems or microservices
- Experience designing APIs (Protocol Buffers, RAML, Swagger, OpenAPI, etc,)
Responsibilities
- Developing core services primarily using Golang and PostgreSQL
- Help and accelerate foundational services to scale the output of our product teams
- Resolve issues with previously delivered features
- Write unit and integration tests for code you create
- Peer review code developed by others on your team
- Ensure software is secure, maintainable
- Work with designers, product managers, and other engineers
- Encourage automation and continuous improvement
- Drives org-wide adoption of AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) across frontend and backend domains to accelerate delivery of modular, full-stack features
- Establishes and champions cross-stack standards for AI-generated code from API design to UI components ensuring automated testing and documentation workflows reduce technical debt at scale
- Coaches both engineers and managers on leveraging GenAI to bridge domain gaps, enabling more fluid collaboration across teams while maintaining high architectural integrity
