About The Position

As a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend Platform, you'll own the company's frontend platform and design system, enabling every product engineering team to build faster, more consistently, and with higher quality across both web and mobile platforms. You'll drive architectural decisions, establish frontend engineering standards, and mentor senior engineers while helping define the future of frontend developer experience. Requirements

• 8+ years of frontend engineering experience
• Experience owning frontend platforms, design systems, or shared component libraries
• Experience leading frontend architecture across multiple engineering teams
• Experience working at high-growth SaaS companies or VC-backed startups
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and driving engineering standards
• Strong startup ownership mentality with demonstrated technical leadership
• Experience leading major frontend migrations and modernization efforts
• Experience collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Platform Engineering
• Experience building internal developer platforms and tooling
• Previous experience supporting both web and mobile platforms strongly preferred
• Expert-level React and TypeScript experience
• Strong React Native experience
• Deep experience with Storybook, Figma, and design system tooling
• Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA)
• Experience supporting internationalization and RTL layouts
• Strong frontend architecture and systems design expertise
• Experience with GraphQL and frontend data architecture
• Familiarity with Python backend services is a plus
• Experience integrating AI-assisted developer tooling into engineering workflows
• Strong understanding of frontend platform engineering, CI/CD, build tooling, and developer experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline preferred
• Strong engineering background with demonstrated frontend platform expertise
• Top technical universities or exceptional engineering accomplishments strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the company's cross-platform design system across React and React Native
• Build and scale shared component libraries used across multiple engineering teams
• Lead frontend architectural initiatives including React upgrades, TypeScript standardization, and platform modernization
• Drive the development of a greenfield mobile design system and shared mobile component platform
• Establish frontend engineering standards through RFCs, architecture reviews, and technical leadership
• Improve developer experience through better tooling, build systems, CI/CD, linting, and code generation
• Integrate AI-powered developer tooling and agentic workflows into frontend engineering processes
• Champion accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), internationalization, theming, and design consistency
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Platform Engineering teams
• Mentor and coach senior engineers across frontend architecture and engineering best practices
• Drive platform scalability, maintainability, and engineering excellence across the organization
• Improve frontend platform performance, reliability, and developer productivity
