CVS Pharmacy Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Staff Software Development Engineer to design and develop enterprise software applications and platforms. Duties include: analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements; determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation; upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; develop and deploy application components, and support unit testing and bug fixes; participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD; support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; and collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Requirements

  • Design and develop system applications, frameworks, and sub-modules
  • Create and analyze new computer programs and data structures based on specifications and user requirements
  • Modify and develop software using Core Java, Android SDK, JavaScript, JSON, REST Services, Sensors, and Bluetooth Low Energy
  • Participate in usability, GUI, system, and functional module development
  • Estimate effort for assigned modules and debug application issues
  • Collaborate with the QA team for issue analysis and root cause identification
  • Provide technical guidance to team members
  • Review test specification documents for assigned modules
  • Manage issue tracking, fixing, and closure in the bug tracking tool
  • GIT, JAVA, XML, JSON, Agile methodologies, JIRA, SQL, and REST
  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting
  • Web and mobile applications development
  • Writing application code and deploying to production
  • Working with UI/UX teams to develop wireframes and prototypes based on end user feedback and human centered design
