Staff Software Development Engineer - Customer Reporting (Lead Full Stack, Angular, Spring Boot)
About The Position
As a Lead Software Development Engineer with CVS Health, you will lead multiple pod teams comprising approximately 20 engineers in an onshore/offshore model, along with UX designers and a product manager. You will help teams build high-quality, usable products for customers and stakeholders, create work for pods led by senior engineers, work hands-on with difficult features, and develop proofs of concept to assess feasibility and identify optimal solution approaches. You will educate business and technology personnel on the development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. The role calls for a user-centered and business-priority approach to design, along with a firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment, preferably in a J2EE development environment.
- 7+ years of Java development experience using Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC.
- 7+ years of frontend development experience with Angular 8+, React, or similar.
- 7+ years of experience with Agile concepts, including CI/CD and TDD, as well as strong debugging and performance optimization techniques, including feature flagging.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Nice To Haves
- Cloud development experience.
- PaaS and/or SaaS development experience.
Responsibilities

- Work with business, product, and architecture teams to understand requirements and lead design efforts.
- Review solutions, designs, and approaches for different pod teams.
- Design efficient, user-friendly software products that advance and support business needs.
