About The Position

As a Lead Software Development Engineer with CVS Health, you will lead multiple pod teams comprising approximately 20 engineers in an onshore/offshore model, alongside UX designers and a product manager. You will help build high-quality, usable products for customers and stakeholders, create work for pods led by senior engineers, work hands-on with difficult features, and develop proofs of concept to assess feasibility and identify optimal solutions. You will educate business and technology personnel on the development process and guide products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. The role calls for a user-centered, business-priority approach and a firm understanding of Java development principles and Agile methodologies.

Requirements

10+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in a large-scale distributed software design environment, preferably in a J2EE development environment.
7+ years of Java development experience using Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC.
7+ years of frontend development experience, including Angular 8+, React, or similar.
7+ years of experience using Agile concepts such as continuous integration (CI/CD) and test-driven development (TDD), with strong debugging and performance optimization techniques, including feature flagging.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

Cloud development experience.
PaaS and/or SaaS development experience.
