About The Position

Our Staff Scientists are a core pillar of the R&D organization, dedicated to bridging the gap between advanced statistical methodology and practical product innovation. As a member of this high-impact team, you will drive the optimization of automated diagnostic instruments and reagents to ensure we deliver high-performance solutions to the market. You will have the unique opportunity to provide cross-functional leadership, collaborating closely with experts across various scientific disciplines to instill a robust, data-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a related Science field with 5+ years of experience; or a Master’s with 8+ years; or a Bachelor’s with 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven mastery of complex DOE, Response Surface Methods, and advanced statistical modeling within a product development environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead without direct authority within a highly matrixed organizational structure.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of translating complex statistical concepts for diverse stakeholders across R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality.
  • Experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on long-term technical strategy and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for initiating and executing complex statistical strategies to optimize product workflows.
  • Investigate the feasibility of advanced experimental designs to solve intricate R&D challenges and improve overall product performance.
  • Design and execute advanced Design of Experiments (DOE) and Response Surface Methods to optimize both new and existing diagnostic workflows.
  • Lead the integration of sophisticated statistical methodologies into the development of automated instruments and reagent systems.
  • Investigate and resolve complex performance challenges through high-level data analysis and technical troubleshooting.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment by serving as the technical liaison between statistical experts and R&D application teams.
  • Ensure compliance and technical excellence by maintaining robust experimental standards that meet rigorous industry requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior scientists and project teams on statistical best practices to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Author and review technical reports and strategy documents that define the roadmap for process and product optimization.
