Staff Scientist, Single-Cell Multiomics Product Development

Requirements
- Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field
- 8+ years of research experience, including 5+ years of industry experience in a related field
- Extensive experience with RNA-seq and other next-generation sequencing techniques, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis
- Experience with genomic assays using FFPE (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) samples
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop assay products, critically analyze data, and maintain excellent experimental records

- Experience with assay/reagent product development
- Experience with spatial genomics and/or proteomics
- Experience with single-cell multiomics assays
- Experience generating assays for biopharma/translational market
- Immunology background
Responsibilities
- Lead assay development tasks to launch high-quality products for the BD Rhapsody™ platform, including feasibility studies, process and QC development, optimization, Verification & Validation, and tech transfer support
- Drive the development work in collaboration with wet lab scientists, bioinformatics scientists, commercial and operational partners
- Design and perform hands-on experiments to achieve development objectives
- Independently analyze and interpret single-cell genomics data and present results to cross-functional teams
- Compile analyses and develop protocols, technical notes, posters, and presentations showcasing Rhapsody platform performance
- Provide scientific expertise to optimize current products and support the development of new product applications
