About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. This position is in the Mother/Baby unit.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional life support credential (such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP) or other clinical specialty certifications relevant to specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
