This role involves planning and providing professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
• Certified in American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients.
• ER, ICU and/or Radiology (IR) experience highly preferred.
• Procedural and/or Emergency Department experience (including pre-op, OR, PACU, Interventional Pain, Endovascular, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and strong IV insertion skills) is easily transferable.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients.
• Adhere to physician orders and established guidelines.
• Practice within the scope defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Participate in a self-scheduling process for a 6-week cycle.
• Fulfill call requirements, including weekday overnight shifts and weekend shifts.
• Respond within 1 hour when called in for call shifts.
• Take 2 holiday call shifts per calendar year.
