The Procedural Care Unit (PCU) handles an average of 55 cases daily in a fast-paced environment, providing pre- and post-procedure care for Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiovascular labs. Procedures include TAVR's, ablations, biopsies, catheterizations, and more. PCU is an outpatient/closed unit with no floating requirements. This role involves a day shift with a holiday requirement of either one working holiday or one on-call shift, and one 12-hour weekend shift every 8 weeks. The unit offers an 8-week set/repeating schedule for better work-life balance. On-call duties include one weekend from 7 am to 7 pm one to two times yearly. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. The RN provides professional nursing care services to patients according to department policies and nursing care standards, and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
