About The Position

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for their Cardiac Observation Unit on the main campus in Lancaster, OH. This position is .60 FTE and involves night shifts. The registered nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care using the nursing process. This includes directing co-workers and delegating tasks, providing quality nursing care with a family-centered approach, and educating patients and their families from admission through discharge. The role also involves thorough documentation, collaboration with physicians and team members to ensure smooth transitions of care, administering medications and treatments accurately and safely, ensuring compliance with FMC policies, and maintaining availability of equipment and supplies.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following: Diploma in Nursing, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
CPR required.
Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
Position may require frequent patient handling activity.

Nice To Haves

Previous nursing experience preferred.

Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures.
Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.
