RN Observation Unit FT Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Observation Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time, night shift position (36 hours weekly, 7pm-7am). The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department, observing patients expected to be hospitalized for less than 24 hours. Nurses on this unit care for a variety of patients including those with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterizations, post-laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. A provider is available on the unit from 7 AM to 5 PM daily to offer support and high-level care. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license required.
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
