Staff RN, Heart Failure Clinic (Full-Time)
About The Position
Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing health system expanding the quality and reach of care to patients and communities. The Cardiovascular RN works in a Heart Failure Clinic and provides high-quality care to cardiac patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies. The RN serves as a nursing resource in their area of responsibility and provides monitoring, support, and patient education to patients with congestive heart failure. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia, in good standing and without limitations.
- Certified in American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Two years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
- Additional life support credential such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP, or another clinical specialty certification relevant to specific units.
- Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care to cardiac patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies.
- Act as a nursing resource in the assigned area of responsibility.
- Monitor and support patients with congestive heart failure in the Heart Failure Clinic.
- Provide patient education to the congestive heart failure patient population.
