About The Position

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to support the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting. Performs patient care duties as part of a multidisciplinary team, as delegated by a physician. Specific duties and responsibilities are determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Requirements

• One year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Visual color acuity screening, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs.
• Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
• Perform patient care duties within a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by a physician.
• Carry out duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
