About The Position

Care for our community, and your career. This position requires a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to provide quality patient care. The nurse must be able to assess patient's needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects. Safety is paramount, and the nurse must recognize safety issues for themselves and others, and be able to safely use lifts and move patients. The role demands the ability to function well in stressful situations, possessing good, creative problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate are essential. The nurse may be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills are required.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
• Ability to provide quality patient care.
• Ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
• Must recognize safety issues to self and others.
• Must be able to assess and implement use of lifts to and move patients in a safe manner.
• Must be able to function well in stressful situations.
• Must have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.
