This is a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) Float position that supports two clinics, Waterford and East Troy. The schedule is Monday-Friday with hours ranging from 0730-1800, depending on coverage needs. This role does not require weekend or holiday work. The RN will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. They will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The role may involve administering medications, treatments, and therapies, demonstrating effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, and pursuing professional development. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making is expected, along with appropriate delegation to other nursing staff and accurate EHR documentation. RNs in this role may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. The position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
