About the position
The job overview for the role of Staff Reliability Engineer at Cavnue is to develop and execute robust reliability testing and failure analysis to ensure product requirements are met. The engineer will be responsible for developing reliability test plans, defining reliability testing methodology, and leading the failure analysis process. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and be hands-on in performing tests and root cause analysis. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant engineering discipline, at least 6 years of experience as a failure analysis and/or reliability engineer, and experience delivering on complex technical products.
Responsibilities
- Develop reliability test plans aligned with product engineering requirements
- Lead the development of reliability performance metrics and conduct reviews to evaluate progress
- Lead definition of reliability testing methodology and test execution to ensure compliance with product durability requirements
- Drive the failure analysis process with cross-functional teams for all failures identified during reliability testing and provide relevant findings to support DFx
- Define and lead the manufacturing and field failure triage processes, ensuring proper documentation, root cause analysis, and resolution of failures
- Perform tests, root cause analysis, and collaborate with test, design, and manufacturing engineers to support continuous improvements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 6+ years of experience as a failure analysis and/or reliability engineer
- Experience delivering on complex technical products, such as sensors or high-end electronics for outdoor applications
- Experience with statistical data analysis and modeling
