About the position
The job overview for this role is to be an experienced Technical Program Manager who will drive Cavnue's software, simulation, machine learning, and development infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage continuous feature development, ensuring quality and schedule compliance throughout the program phases. They will work with a team of engineers, product and program managers, operations, and business leaders to help deliver on Cavnue's mission of bridging technology and road infrastructure for automated transportation.
Responsibilities
- Partner with software, simulation, ML, infrastructure, and other platform teams to manage innovative programs, defining milestones, success criteria, budget, and resources.
- Manage diverse workstreams between business, product, and technical teams to develop and deliver execution strategies.
- Be hands-on and wear multiple hats during R&D and prototype phases.
- Implement new processes and systems for software development lifecycles using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Align teams across the product and technology organization around design trade-offs, requirements, test, release, and validation plans.
- Plan schedules, identify risks, communicate with stakeholders, and present program updates to leaders and executives.
- Support SW/ML team operations, including managing relationships and scopes of work with vendors and contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
- Self-motivated, creative, and proactive to drive tight schedules and work in fast-paced environments
- Expertise with project management tools, software, and best practices
- Detailed knowledge of product development lifecycle
- Familiarity of key architecture components of distributed computing systems
- Experience with software development & operation
