About The Position

The Staff Radiology Technologist generates radiographic examinations using diagnostic radiographic equipment under the direction of the ordering physician and/or radiologist. The staff member must demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served. This includes understanding life-span growth and development principles, assessing information about a patient's status, and interpreting relevant information to identify each patient's requirements.

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized program in Radiologic Technology.
• Connecticut state licensure.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT); registry-eligible candidates must pass the ARRT exam within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrate knowledge of life-span growth and development principles and the ability to assess and interpret patient information.

• Associate degree preferred.
