About The Position

Performs a wide range of Diagnostic Imaging Services procedures on patients of varying ages. Completes the tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patients are in the department for procedures. Assists with developing and monitoring department-specific systems and coordinating activities that improve the quality of patient care in Diagnostic Imaging Services.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist program.
• Texas certified Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT) through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Possess critical thinking skills.
• Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
• Possess effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Be technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist.
• Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in Diagnostic Imaging in a hospital setting is preferred.
