About The Position

Position performs diagnostic radiographic examinations, applying principles of radiation protection and principles of effective patient care. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Performs radiographic examinations per scanning protocols, correlating patient history with examination and presents study to physician for examination while adhering to patient schedules. Assists physicians with procedures, obtains necessary supplies and equipment and monitors patient needs while assisting physician with patient support. Enhances own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and conferences. Maintains documentation as requires, including patient files, performs data entry and completes paperwork needed for procedures/processes. Develops film through automatic processing, monitoring darkroom supplies. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Assists with maintaining supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Radiography (R) Certification and Registration - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • No specific work experience is required for this position.
  • Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) or accredited radiography program.
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
