About The Position

In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Staff Radiographer obtains diagnostic radiographs and administers contrast media related to diagnostic procedures. The role assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures, including sterile procedures. The Staff Radiographer exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and maintains strict confidentiality.

This position is full time at 0.9 FTE (72 hours biweekly) at Athens Diagnostic Imaging, 206 Columbus Road, Athens, Ohio. It is a 12-hour day shift. The role participates in educating students of the School of Radiologic Technology and is expected to attend 75% of department meetings.

Requirements

• Current radiologic licensure from the Ohio Department of Health; if working in West Virginia, a West Virginia license is required.
• ARRT registration required.
• BLS certification required.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Basic clerical skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams within the medical imaging scope of practice defined by ARRT and ASRT and in compliance with Ohio Department of Health rules.
• Assure patient safety.
• Provide patient transportation.
• Ensure patient documentation and patient care.
• Perform clerical duties.
• Participate in the education of students of the School of Radiologic Technology.
• Attend 75% of department meetings.
• Administer contrast media related to diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain compliance in RQI.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures, including sterile procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and exhibit the MHS Standards of Excellence.
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
