The company is seeking a Staff Quality Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in owning and delivering quality for large, complex financial trading systems. This role will be part of the trading team and requires a senior, technical, and customer-focused candidate who aligns with Forge's values. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or 5 years software engineering experience)
  • 8-12 years of software testing experience
  • Fintech, Trading or Financial services industry experience
  • Experience in leading quality efforts for internet applications
  • Physical requirements: operate a computer for at least 8 hours per day; give and receive detailed information through verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

  • Build comprehensive bottoms up Test Strategies for our platform services organization
  • Write tests plans covering various customer use cases – functional, compliance & legal aspects
  • Engage is projects from the initiation phase to identify gaps in requirement and failure modes in design
  • Be a force multiplier to help developers shift testing left
  • Automate tests based on what’s most valuable and high priority and help adopt best practices to improve code quality
  • Collaborate with Forge’s product, design, information security and business team members to quickly grasp domain knowledge.
  • Develop concise, articulate, and detailed documentation
  • Participate in scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment.
  • Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners.
  • Identify defect trends and partner with development teams to fix the root cause
  • Leverage artificial intelligence technologies to improve the impact and efficiency of testing

Benefits

  • Annual salary range for this role is $155,000 - $175,000
