About The Position

Certerra RMA Group is seeking a full-time Staff/Project Engineer for its Rancho Cordova, California team. The position supports laboratory operations, project managers, and lead geotechnical engineers in completing projects that meet client needs and minimize risk. The work includes a variety of field and office projects. Position level, salary, and responsibilities will be based on the candidate’s experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related geotechnical field; relevant industry experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a good-standing driving record.
• Knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience in the inspection/testing industry.
• Experience in laboratory operations.
• Familiarity with ASTM test methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing laboratory and technical reports.
• Assist project managers and the engineering team with reviewing geotechnical and special-inspection daily field reports.
• Support field work, including observing geotechnical site investigations and construction activities.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control of drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Support laboratory operations and project managers in successful project delivery.
