About The Position

Collections runs like an emergency room. You show up in crisis, get triaged by a stranger who doesn't know your history and leave with no follow-up. We're turning it into primary care for consumer finance. We started in the hardest, most broken stage, because if it works there it works anywhere. 70 million Americans fall behind on a debt every year. Most want to pay what they owe and can't find a way back. We've serviced over $20 billion in debt across more than 20 million consumers. We see more people with charged-off loans each year than all but the top five US banks. They rate us about 50% higher than the banks that lent them the money. Creditors net over 30% more with us because we collect more and charge less. Most AI strips the human out of the work. We use it to do the opposite. In someone's hardest financial moment we make the experience more human. The more human we make it, the more people recover. Now we're moving upstream, catching people before they default and building across every stage of the consumer credit lifecycle. The one in collections today is the one who gets approved tomorrow. As a Product Manager, you'll own one of our highest-leverage surfaces: how we reach consumers, how we talk with them and how we earn the trust that turns a missed payment into a fresh start. The work decides whether someone in their hardest financial moment gets a robocall or a way out. The Role: We're hiring product managers for two teams. We'll figure out the right fit with you. You'll report directly to the Founder and CEO, Jake. We see these roles as some of the most important we'll fill as we scale from a single product into a multi-product company. We're widening the aperture. Collections gave us one planet. The rest of the solar system comes next. One team owns the LLM infrastructure behind every consumer conversation: chatbot, voice, email and text. You'll push it toward a borrower experience that adapts to each person in real time, further than the industry thinks possible. The other owns the systems that send millions of communications an hour, email, SMS and letters, plus the experimentation engine behind them. You'll build toward outbound that tunes itself, learning what to say and when without a human in the loop. Both roles carry tremendous ownership to set a new standard: an opinionated strategy, the experiments that prove what works, and the systems that let the team make good calls without you in the room. You thrive in high-stakes systems, where legal, ethical and financial constraints sharpen your creativity instead of capping it. We've built the strongest team in the company's history. We love how fast new people make an impact. One hire doubled the effectiveness of a key machine learning model in their first week.

Requirements

  • Treat prescription before diagnosis as a sin. Never stop at symptoms. Decompose to root causes fast.
  • Decide with incomplete information. Find the few things that matter most and go get them quickly.
  • Bring principles for what to do now and what to do later. Don't try to do everything at once.
  • Hold an absurdly high bar. Know a couple of points is the difference between an average product and an exceptional one.
  • Care more about making the best decision than about being right. Update fast when the evidence changes.
  • Reason from data and design experiments that isolate cause. Go deep enough with engineers to argue about the system, not just the roadmap.
  • Already push LLM tooling deep into your own work and want to go further than anyone has let you. Build the skills and workflows the rest of the company runs on.
  • Owned a product strategy end to end and it moved something real.
  • Love building 0 to 1.
  • 5+ years as a Product Manager.
