About The Position

Tali AI is a leading, fast-growing startup dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence to dramatically improve healthcare accessibility. Our core mission is to automate clinical workflows by building an AI platform that intelligently collects, processes, and shares data across the healthcare ecosystem. Our platform is currently utilized by thousands of clinicians across Canada and the US, spanning numerous specialties and integrating deeply with the complex, fragmented landscape of North American health record systems. The product challenges we face are genuinely complex and require rigorous, data-backed decision-making: Clinical workflows exhibit extreme variability across geographies, specialties, care settings, and individual practices. The product must possess inherent adaptability without devolving into an overly complex configuration maze. While AI unlocks new workflow possibilities, its real-world utility hinges entirely on reliability, transparency, and earning clinician trust. Successful adoption depends on seamless integration into the existing infrastructure of health records, billing systems, and practice tools, not demanding disruptive changes from clinicians. We operate with high velocity in a market that demands speed, yet we must maintain precision in a domain where eroding clinician trust is an irreparable error. The Role We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to report directly to the Chief Product Officer. This role is fundamentally centred on execution. Your leadership will be defined by intellectual clarity, learning agility, and the quality of the evidence-based decisions you drive. Strategic scope will naturally expand from this foundation. You will be tasked with solving product problems that are strategically pivotal but currently lack definition. Your primary contribution is to provide that shape: rigorously identifying underlying constraints, defining the problem with necessary technical specificity, and aligning Engineering, Design, and Go-To-Market teams around a cohesive, forward-moving plan. Our product scope encompasses: Clinical Workflow Automation: Addressing documentation, follow-ups, and administrative burdens currently handled manually by clinicians. AI-Assisted Clinical Tasks: Converting ambient signals and context into trustworthy, actionable outputs for clinicians. Platform Capabilities: Designing flexible, configurable workflows that can be tailored to various specialties and practice models. Integrations: Deeply embedding the product within the complex ecosystem of clinical software. GTM Product Surfaces: Developing capabilities that demonstrably drive adoption, expansion, and sustained usage in the field. You will operate fluidly across all these domains as the problem requires. AI is central to your work, both as a component of the final product and as an indispensable tool for conducting product management. You will leverage AI for deep engagement with Tali’s technology, rapid prototyping of concepts, metric-driven analysis, and moving from problem identification to validated direction significantly faster than conventional processes permit. Crucially, human judgment must still guide the process: you ensure coherence across this rapid exploration and make the final determination of what earns a place in the product. You will collaborate with a focused, growing team that deploys daily, reasons with precision, and is deeply committed to the well-being of the clinicians and patients impacted by every decision.

Requirements

  • Proven Product Leadership: Successfully navigated complex, ambiguous product challenges, taking them from unclear starting points to production systems that users rely upon.
  • Effectively synthesize inputs from engineering, design, clinical users, and GTM partners to establish concrete product direction, backed by solid quantitative analysis.
  • Systems Thinking Mastery: Deep understanding of products that integrate software infrastructure, machine learning models, and human clinical workflows.
  • Inherently grasp how product choices interact with technical and regulatory constraints.
  • Analytical Rigour and AI Proficiency: Utilize AI as a tool to explore ideas, conduct data-intensive analysis, and quickly iterate on prototypes before committing significant engineering resources.
  • Know precisely where AI accelerates discovery and where human product judgment must provide the necessary coherence and ethical guidance.
  • Sharp Product Judgment: Acute product instincts, grounding them in empirical evidence.
  • Ability to dissect complex, real-world workflows to pinpoint the core user problem and reduce it to a solvable challenge for the team.
  • Clearly connect product decisions to measurable clinician outcomes, adoption rates, and overall business impact.
  • Understand that success is only achieved by earning a seamless place within a clinician's existing routine, and that shipping features is distinct from driving actual usage.
  • Force Multiplier: Elevate the performance of those around you through the sheer clarity of the problems you articulate, the rigorous justification behind your prioritization choices, and the high standard you set for sound product decision-making.
