About The Position

Oscar is seeking multiple Staff Product Managers to join its Product team. Oscar is a health insurance company that utilizes a full-stack technology platform and focuses on member service. The Staff Product Managers will join the Network Pillar and will be considered for openings across the tech organization. The role involves owning product strategy for either the end-to-end provider experience or the technology that enables the building and improvement of high-performing provider networks. Responsibilities include reducing friction in provider journeys, building account management and servicing capabilities, establishing measurement and visibility for provider journeys, and partnering with various internal teams to create a cohesive provider experience. For Network Growth & Performance, the role involves translating network strategies into scalable capabilities for identifying needs, prospecting providers, and managing contracting. It also includes defining product strategy for network planning, lead management, contracting workflows, and performance visibility, and connecting various signals to actionable network opportunities. The position reports to a Director, Product.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in driving rigorous prioritization processes.
  • 5+ years of experience with tech systems and understanding basic technology infrastructure such as backend services, database relationships, and leveraging database tools such as SQL.
  • 3+ years of experience leading complex, cross-domain initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience root-causing ambiguous problems, building roadmaps towards a solution, and successfully executing against that roadmap.
  • (Provider Experience) Experience building workflow, case-management, servicing, or account-management products used across multistep operational journeys.
  • (Provider Experience) Experience establishing product strategy across fragmented processes, systems, and organizational owners.
  • (Network Growth & Performance) Experience building products that support prospecting, acquisition, contracting, marketplace supply, or another complex growth funnel.
  • (Network Growth & Performance) Strong analytical experience translating market, customer, financial, and operational signals into prioritization and product strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives by managing projects that will drive operational efficiencies and achieve key business objectives.
  • Partnering closely with stakeholders including cross functional department leaders across the business including Product, Design, Engineering, Network and Operations to define strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Product leadership to make resource trade-off decisions and to ensure teams are working together effectively.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership for product enhancements to improve existing products and development of new ones.
  • Develop operating models for new products in partnership with leadership.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
