ecobee is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the evolution of its Smart Security business. This role involves shaping how devices and services integrate to create a seamless customer experience. The Smart Security business focuses on a holistic home monitoring portfolio, including doorbells, cameras, sensors, and security services powered by a scalable platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and launching hardware products, coupled with a strong understanding of how these devices enable differentiated service experiences. This role requires close collaboration with various teams, including Hardware Engineering, Firmware, Mobile, Backend, Design, Data, and go-to-market teams, to deliver integrated solutions that drive customer value and business growth, particularly in activation, engagement, and subscription revenue. The Staff Product Manager will act as a senior product leader, owning complex, cross-functional problem spaces, setting strategic direction for devices and services, and providing clarity in ambiguous situations. The role is situated at the intersection of physical products and digital experiences, demanding strong systems thinking and the ability to link technical capabilities to customer and commercial impact. Product Managers at ecobee are expected to be builders, storytellers, and stewards, maintaining a deep connection to customer needs and delivery realities, clearly communicating product value, and taking ownership of outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.
