By modernizing and simplifying biomedical data analysis, Workbench facilitates safe collaboration and helps our partners accelerate R&D and reduce the time to market for critical therapies. As a Staff Product Manager for Workbench Scientific Computation, you'll be the driving force behind the platform's core scientific execution engines, scientific workflows, and AI modeling infrastructure. You will own the strategy for large-scale workflow orchestration, empower pharma and life sciences organizations to accelerate R&D, and lead our integration with cutting-edge compute stacks—including the NVIDIA life sciences ecosystem—ensuring researchers can execute complex analyses securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally focused on technical platforms, data infrastructure, or developer tools.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams (engineering, design, analytics) to ship technical products in an agile environment.
  • Experience building and scaling advanced data platforms and AI-driven tools tailored for R&D in the pharma, biopharma, and life sciences sectors
  • Partnered with commercial, customer success, and solution delivery teams to engineer product features that accelerated sales cycles and streamlined client implementations
  • Qualified applicants must not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of workflow orchestration systems (e.g., Nextflow, WDL, Cromwell, or Airflow) and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience and understanding of cloud computing environments including GCP, AWS, NVIDIA Cloud, and Azure.
  • Hands-on familiarity with the NVIDIA stack for life sciences (e.g., BioNeMo, Parabricks, RAPIDS, NeMo) and specialized hardware reservation architectures (A100, H100, H200, B200 GPUs).
  • Familiarity with the underlying data architectures required to build custom billing, chargeback, or platform telemetry pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a comprehensive roadmap for scientific workflow orchestration (Nextflow, WDL, Cromwell, dSub). Deliver high-performance execution, cost transparency, and seamless multi-cloud scale across GCP, AWS and Azure for pharma and biotech partners.
  • Lead platform integration with the NVIDIA life sciences software and hardware ecosystem (e.g., BioNeMo, Parabricks, RAPIDS, and advanced GPU acceleration like H200/B200 Blackwell). Enable turnkey generative AI and advanced computational biology modeling in the platform.
  • Partner directly with top-tier pharmaceutical, biopharma, and research institute customers to understand their complex data pipeline needs, translating domain requirements into scalable, production-grade computation capabilities.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, data analysts, and designers to build robust telemetry pipelines, implement cost-tracking dashboards, and seamlessly integrate support and documentation tools directly into the user workflow.
  • Lead cross-organizational efforts and build consensus among stakeholders across engineering, computational biology, commercial GTM, and strategic partners to ensure a unified approach to platform sustainability and researcher success.
