About The Position

Plaid is dedicated to empowering the transformation of how people interact with their finances by building tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life, working with thousands of companies to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. The Network Enablement and Access team's mission is to unlock the potential of the Plaid network by broadening and deepening our connection to data partners. This role is responsible for deciding what data Plaid pursues next, including non-bank data sources such as property tax, merchant and SKU-level purchases, utilities, tax, and payroll. This is a 0-1 role where the individual will start with two to three engineers and a mandate to launch Plaid's first non-bank data offering within the first year. The role involves setting the multi-year strategy for supply expansion, defining quality and completeness for new data types, and building internal cases for new verticals.

  • Leadership, stakeholder influence, and communication: Comfortable working cross-functionally (engineering, data, product) and influencing without direct authority.
  • Ability to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders, drive alignment, and make trade-offs crystal clear.
