About The Position

TruckSmarter is a growing startup focused on modernizing the trucking industry, which is a significant part of America's economy. The company is developing Dispatch, an AI-powered product designed to streamline repetitive, manual operations for truck drivers, allowing them to concentrate on business growth. The product is already in use, and the company is seeking to enhance its capabilities. This role is for a Staff Product Designer who will contribute to eliminating inefficiencies in freight transportation by crafting engaging and thoughtful user experiences that align with TruckSmarter's human-centered values. The position offers the opportunity to drive product design in a complex and fascinating industry.

Requirements

10+ years experience
Expertise designing for native mobile experiences
Experience designing agentic chat based interfaces
Practice empathy, and understand how your designs will impact users
Works well in a collaborative environment, and are willing to show your work frequently
Curiosity about how AI is changing creative workflows, and excitement about using it

Responsibilities

Own product and design initiatives from end to end.
Craft meaningful experiences that are engaging, thoughtful and reflect TruckSmarter's values as a human-centered technology company.
Provide and solicit feedback from peers in order to continually raise our bar for quality.
Work cross-functionally with the team to shape the product from strategy, definition to execution, validation, and future iterations.
Produce high quality work from research, user flows and interactive prototypes, all the way to pixel perfect design with delightful interactions.
Empathize with the user and be an advocate for user experience.
