Staff Platform Engineer

Method is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer with expertise in serverless backend development. This role involves working on a variety of projects and collaborating closely with a cross-functional team to build business-critical applications. The ideal candidate should have strong technical and relational skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, experience with cloud technologies, microservices, event-driven architectures, and RESTful/API design best practices is required. • Write great software and build engaging products as part of a team

• Have 7+ years of experience with server-side and cloud technologies, including Java 11+, AWS, and Node
• Experience with stream processing using Flink, Kafka, and Spark Streaming
• Strong experience with RDBMS and Change Data Capture (CDC)
• Have 3+ years of experience with TypeScript
• Familiarity and experience with serverless computing
• Hands-on experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with AWS CDK
• Proficiency with the creation, utilization, and lifecycle of AWS Lambdas
• Experience with NoSQL data stores, specifically AWS DynamoDB, and ETL
• Applied experience with Amazon SQS
• Familiarity with AWS Cognito authentication and identity management
• Strong familiarity with RESTful and API design best practices
• Highly self-motivated, engaging, investigative, and collaborative
