About The Position
St. David's Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric emergency medicine physician to join their dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to provide care in a 10-bed pediatric emergency department, managing over 25,000 visits annually with a low patient-to-clinician ratio. The position is located within St. David's North Austin Medical Center, a 360+ bed facility, and provides access to advanced pediatric resources, including 24/7 specialty support, pediatric-trained radiologists, child life specialists, and on-site hospitalists and intensivists. The role is supported by experienced advanced practice clinicians and offers flexibility for both clinical and academic involvement.
Requirements
- ABP/ABEM certified with board certification or eligibility in PEM
- Passion for delivering exceptional, evidence-based pediatric emergency care
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Care for 25,000+ pediatric ED visits annually
- Practice in a state-of-the-art facility
- Utilize advanced pediatric resources including 24/7 pediatric specialty support
- Work with pediatric-trained radiologists and child life specialists
- Collaborate with pediatric hospitalists and intensivists on-site
