Our Pharmacies are seeking Pharmacists that provide meaningful support at the right time to our members for better health and peace of mind. We are actively looking for a Pharmacist who is: Available Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Available to start ASAP Passionate about health care The candidate will be required to vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. In general, these include providing oversight and quality assurance of pharmacy services, clinical pharmacy services to patients, communicating with prescribers regarding drug therapy, verify prescription dispensing at various workflow steps within the Kroll Pharmacy software system and participating in training and mentoring of staff and students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science-Pharmacy or PharmD
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Strong focus on customer service, quality and accuracy
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions
  • Ability to evaluate current state and analyze possible solutions in business workflow
  • Ability to train and coach less-experienced staff to desired team results
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Valid Manitoba pharmacist license required
  • It will be a condition of employment that the successful candidate obtains an Enhanced Reliability Clearance from the Federal Government. The candidate will be required to provide supporting documentation to receive clearance if required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail pharmacy and specialty medications is preferred
  • Experience with Kroll Pharmacy software system is an asset
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy Benefits Management Industry/Managed care industry is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Verify prescription orders are dispensed accurately and according to corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance of pharmacy services.
  • Provide patient counseling on prescriptions and handle patient clinical queries.
  • Communicate with prescribers to modify and manage drug therapy for desired outcomes.
  • Train and mentor staff and students.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
