About The Position

This position is 7 on/7 off starting Wednesday night and ending Tuesday night 9pm-7:30am. Responsibilities include performing duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. The role is responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. The Staff Pharmacist supervises pharmacy technician activities, including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. The role also assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice and performs patient-focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy
• No experience required
• Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia Upon Hire
