Staff Pharmacist, Nights
About The Position
The Staff Pharmacist performs medication distribution, documentation, and compounding duties involving drugs, solutions, and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. The role reviews, compounds, dispenses, and monitors medication therapy for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, accounting for age-related dosing variations, nutritional needs, and disease states. The pharmacist supervises pharmacy technician activities, including monitoring orders filled by auxiliary personnel, and performs patient-focused clinical care activities throughout the hospital to support optimal medication therapy. The pharmacist is responsible for maintaining competency and developing professionally in pharmacy practice. This is a full-time night-shift position with a 7-on, 7-off schedule.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a bachelor's degree or higher in pharmacy.
- Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia upon hire.
- No prior work experience required.
