About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently hiring a Staff Pharmacist for a specialty pharmacy assignment in the Lake Charles, LA area. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with specialty or retail experience who is looking for a weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call responsibilities. This pharmacist will support the existing pharmacy team and assist with standard dispensing and clinical responsibilities in a specialty pharmacy environment.
Requirements
- Active Louisiana Pharmacist License in good standing
- Specialty pharmacy or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Perform standard staff pharmacist duties including prescription verification and dispensing oversight
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
- Provide drug information and patient counseling when needed
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient workflow
- Support the existing staff pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations
