Staff Pharmacist $20k Sign on Bonus & Relocation
About The Position
The Staff Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to customers at Walmart, including accurately processing and dispensing prescriptions, counseling customers about healthcare and medication needs, and administering immunizations and other Walmart programs. The role supports patient health and wellness, follows company policies and regulatory requirements, and models and guides pharmacy staff in providing customer service. The pharmacy team works in an energetic environment with resources and technology to support its work. The position is based at 585 N State St, Lindon, Utah. The annual salary range is $98,000 to $172,000 for a 40-hour workweek, with pay prorated for other scheduled hours. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. The posting also advertises a $20,000 sign-on bonus and relocation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).
- Pharmacy license by the job entry date.
- Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program, such as APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, or a state pharmacy association-sponsored program.
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
- Ability to foster relationships with customers and partners.
- Ability to adapt to patient needs and address a variety of medical concerns.
- Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders.
- Counsel customers regarding healthcare and prescription medication needs.
- Administer immunizations and other programs developed by Walmart.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Model and provide guidance to pharmacy staff on proper customer service approaches.
- Participate in community activities, outreach, and events.
