About The Position
Walgreens is hiring a pharmacist to provide patient-focused pharmacy and healthcare services. The pharmacist consults with patients about medications, side effects, and cost-effective options; delivers clinical services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management; and ensures medication safety through accurate compounding and dispensing and compliance with regulations. The role also mentors and trains pharmacy team members. Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
- Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
- Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
- Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
