Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • LPN license and IV Certification active in the state of Missouri
  • Nursing License active in the state of Missouri
  • BLS must be obtained within 90 days

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry in medical records.
  • Measure and record vital signs, collect demographics and medical information, including review of medication list.
  • Prepare patients for examination, clean rooms and equipment, and stock supplies.
  • Administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Perform specific competencies as directed by the department.
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
  • Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
