About The Position

AnMed is a not-for-profit health system in Anderson, South Carolina, focused on providing exceptional and compassionate care. The Staff Nurse position serves on the Adult Surgical/Orthopedics team and is bonus eligible. Shifts vary with surgical cases and are scheduled between 7 AM–7 PM or 11 AM–11 PM, with every-other-weekend rotation. The role includes scrubbing and circulating operating-room cases other than open-heart cases, preparing cases, and assessing surgical patients. Benefits packages vary and are available to employees in positions of 0.6 FTE or higher.

Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
One year of experience for entry-level staff nurse positions.
BSN required within four years of hire.
ADN candidates must enroll in a BSN program within 18 months of hire.
Successful completion of the hospital-provided BLS course within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Scrub and circulate operating-room cases except open-heart cases.
Assist with case preparation and assess surgical patients.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs using the nursing process.
Participate in patient care as defined by a multidisciplinary plan of care.
Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying ages pertinent to the assigned area.
Manage and provide patient-care activities for a group of patients and their families using independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with team members.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve desired outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
Continue professional learning and growth through varied assignments, clinical development programs, and involvement in professional organizations.
