About The Position
The Iowa River Landing Clinic is seeking a Staff Nurse for its General Pediatrics clinic. The Staff Nurse assesses patients’ nursing care needs, evaluates the effectiveness of care provided, integrates nursing theory and research into clinical practice, and ensures patient care standards are met. The role includes developing and evaluating patient care plans, collaborating with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams, evaluating the quality of nursing care provided by other staff, and advocating for patients while maintaining their rights and confidentiality. This is a regular salaried position at the Iowa River Landing Clinic in Iowa City, Iowa. The schedule is 0730–1800, with a 30-minute lunch, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesdays off, plus participation in the primary pediatric RN Saturday rotation from 0800–1200. The position is listed at 100% time. Pay is $61,781 to commensurate.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, or Master’s degree in Nursing (MNHP or MSN).
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves

- Experience working with EPIC.
- Previous triage experience.
Responsibilities
- Apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat, and evaluate patient responses.
- Develop patient care plans based on observations and assessments and recommend interventions to attain expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients and families and integrate their information into multidisciplinary patient care plans; evaluate responses.
- Evaluate the quality of nursing care provided by other staff members.
- Be responsible and accountable for the provision of patient care.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and serve as a patient advocate.
