The Staff Nurse role is at The Blake at Biloxi. The nurse provides medical treatment and administers medications in accordance with physician orders and applicable board and state regulations for assisted living. The position also supports residents in memory and performance improvement programs and serves as the charge nurse for personal assistants on shift under the direction of the Wellness Leadership team. The nurse works independently with minimal direct supervision and collaboratively with a team.
Requirements
- Have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
- Hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state.
- Hold current CPR certification.
- Be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Assisted living or long-term care experience.
- Current First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical treatment and administer medication according to physician orders and applicable board and state regulations for assisted living.
- Provide high-quality care and service to residents while remaining flexible and adapting to change.
- Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
- Work independently with minimal direct supervision and as part of a team to make decisions, organize and prioritize tasks, document clearly, and follow through on assignments.
- Serve as charge nurse on shift for personal assistants under the direction of the Wellness Leadership team.
