About The Position

The R.N. is a professional care provider responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and supervising nursing services and care of patients within his/her assigned area. Functions as a resource to staff concerning the identification and assessment of patient social/psycho-social needs as well as medical problems. Communicates with patients, families, visitors, outside agencies and physicians.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care.
  • CPR certification by AHA or American Red Cross.
  • Experience and/or education in the care of the aged, chronically ill, restorative nursing, psychiatric nursing and supervision.
  • Physical ability to perform all nursing duties which include turning, positioning, and lifting of patients of varied age, size and weight.
  • Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
  • Currently licensed as a licensed registered nurse in California.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing preferred.
  • One or more years’ experience as a staff nurse is desirable.
