About The Position
The R.N. is a professional care provider responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and supervising nursing services and care of patients within his/her assigned area. Functions as a resource to staff concerning the identification and assessment of patient social/psycho-social needs as well as medical problems. Communicates with patients, families, visitors, outside agencies and physicians.
Requirements
- Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care.
- CPR certification by AHA or American Red Cross.
- Experience and/or education in the care of the aged, chronically ill, restorative nursing, psychiatric nursing and supervision.
- Physical ability to perform all nursing duties which include turning, positioning, and lifting of patients of varied age, size and weight.
- Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
- Currently licensed as a licensed registered nurse in California.
Nice To Haves
- Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing preferred.
- One or more years’ experience as a staff nurse is desirable.

- Provides nursing assessment of newly admitted patient.
