About The Position

This is a part-time night shift opportunity for a Staff Nurse in the Women & Family department. The role involves performing the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe therapeutic care to patients, including those undergoing obstetric operative or other invasive procedures. Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and recovering for cesarean sections as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or equivalent accredited school of nursing.
  • Completed a nursing education program that included clinical experiences with actual patients under the supervision of qualified faculty.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • One to two years in labor and delivery unit with adequate number of deliveries to ensure competence in all areas of labor, delivery, postpartum, and new born care.
  • Must complete Baby Friendly coursework (Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding) within 6 months of hire.
  • Must complete Relias Fetal monitoring within 3 months of hire.
  • Additional Coursework: GE Health Systems, AWHONN Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
  • If hired without L&D experience, must complete and pass a L&D class approved by the Association of American Women’s Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) within 3 months of hire date.
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers upon hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) upon hire.
  • Will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support (ALS) within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with fetal monitoring high-risk labor/delivery, neonatal and postpartum management.
  • Temporary or seasonal staff may be hired with only postpartum experience per management discretion.

Benefits
