About The Position
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Pediatrics Clinic. This part-time position (0.6 FTE) will work days (Mon-Fri) at our downtown Minneapolis clinic facility.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Nice To Haves
- Certification in area of clinical specialty
- One year of clinical pediatric experience
- Prior ambulatory experience
- BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
Responsibilities
- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
- Partnering, communicating, and educating patient’s parents and/or guardians in all steps of the process
- Triage work done in collaboration with provider and or support staff for immediate resolution. Triaging can be completed in person, telephonic or electronically
- Providing direct patient facing care to include rooming, completion of wellness visits, EKS, spirometry, immunizations and injections and adherence to standing orders
